The Gang's All Here: an Evening with Spencer Albee and Zach Jones
The Gang's All Here: an Evening with Spencer Albee and Zach Jones
Multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, producer, and all-around good guy to know, Spencer Albee has been a staple in the Portland music scene since 1995.

Spencer’s efforts with Rustic Overtones, As Fast As, and as a solo artist have seen him through four record contracts and two publishing deals. He has worked alongside industry legends David Bowie, producers Tony Visconti (David Bowie, T-Rex), David Leonard (Prince, Paul McCartney), and Matt Wallace (Faith No More, Maroon 5). Spencer was also recently featured in Rolling Stone Magazine. He remains the highest selling local artist in Bull Moose Music history.

Zach Jones is an artist with an encyclopedic knowledge of yesterday’s music and an awareness and appreciation for today’s. His music combines the energy and style of the 1960s British pop explosion, including The Who and The Kinks, with the soulful expression of American R&B that poured from Motown and Stax. While paying tribute to the music he loves, he expands on the tradition of sound and arrangement, creating a musical melting pot of modern rock, pop, and soul.

Live At The Studio Portland, a unique music web series that spotlights Maine musicians, is co-produced by Spencer Albee's company Low Hanging Fruit and audio aficionado Tim Tierney of The Studio Portland. Nick Callanan and Nick Bowie from No Umbrella Media provide high-quality visuals, while Steve Drown records, mixes, and masters live audio. Hosted by Trent Gay, Kevin Kennie, and Dan Bodoff of FreezingProcess.net and presented by Bangor Savings Bank.

On June 27 at Port City Music Hall, the premier of the second episode of the series featuring Spencer Albee will take the viewer through the process of recording a song from start to finish.
