Somewhere Maine: The Marijuana Musical
Somewhere Maine: The Marijuana Musical
Somewhere, Maine: The Marijuana Musical" is a dramatic look at one year on a marijuana farm in the hills of Western Maine, and home to outlaw country singer, Johnny Crashed. Johnny battles with reality as he deals with the loss of his two children who were taken from him for the crime of being a pot farmer.

The musical features and a host of characters including: Jezebel, a newly arrived, home schooled Christian girl who is seeking souls to save through song and dance: Redneck, a long time hell raiser and drug dealer seeking a unique kind of revenge: Mother Mary Jane, a local sensuous "healer" who operates a Smoke Easy in Normal, Maine: Joe Oliver, a returning veteran battling his demons, and many, many more.

It's a story of resisters and rascals, prophets and poets, heretics and hillbillies, heartache and redemption, wrapped in a cloud of marijuana smoke that will take you into a world that remains invisible to many and inaccessible to most.

The stage production features the original music and lyrics of Johnny Crashed with choreography by the Nevaeh Dance Company, and will feature many of Maine's best bluegrass/country musicians as Johnny's back up band "The Rednecks"--Including Cliff Randal on mandolin, Jack Jolie on guitar, Collin Thompkins on bass, Linsey Montana on keys, and Eric Grenier on Harmonica.

The gala event will also feature appearances and full musical sets by Tricky Britches, Azzlan Family Band, and Skosh.
