Thriftworks
Thriftworks
Berkeley, California based producer Thriftworks offers his own uniquely original take on forward thinking electronic music, weaving eclectic samples and explosive modern bass that continually pushes the envelope while taking the art of beat-crafting to new heights. Garnering much praise from fans and critics alike with his steady stream of new material, Thriftworks is quickly becoming known as one of the finest up and coming experimental producers with his outside the box sound and unclassifiable style. Thriftworks' use of deep low-end and wall to wall synths seem to channel something ancient and mysterious, offering up an intoxicating musical high with an invigorating breath of fresh air. These sounds activate the senses, enrapture the mind, move the body and leave audiences begging for more.
God.Damn.Chan.
God.Damn.Chan.
God.Damn.Chan. is a 25 year old sound fondler hailing from Portland, Maine. At the age of 13, Chan began DJing, and at 16, he began making Hip-Hop beats on an MPC. Gathering influence from all genres, his sound and style are as much indebted to the likes of J Dilla and Flying Lotus, as they are to Three 6 Mafia and Sun Ra. God.Damn.Chan. has shared the stage with legendary artists like DJ Abilities, DJ HouseShoes, and Talib Kweli to name a few. Most recently, he traveled to Toronto to compete in the 2015 Battle of the Beat Makers: A prestigious worldwide beat competition which accepts just 32 producers from all around the globe. For the past two years, he has co-curated TRVP NITE, Portland's gulliest dance party, every Sunday. In addition, God.Damn.Chan. also co-curated the quarterly producer showcase/beat battle series, 1UP, exposing Portland to beat-centric talent only found lurking in the darkest corners of the city. With forward-thinking Hip-Hop influenced productions, God.Damn.Chan. has received nods from the likes of beat music juggernauts, Team Supreme, as well as the world-famous Low End Theory crew. With a syrupy, bass-laden, soulful sound, and a slew of releases on the way for 2016, God.Damn.Chan. is making heads turn, and making heads bounce too.
